We take after the culture of W.L. Gore, meaning we are organized with a "flat" or "lattice" structure. There are no chains of command, predetermined channels of communication, or hierarchal organization charts. We are a team that communicates directly with one another and are accountable to one another. Teams organize around opportunities and leaders emerge naturally. For this approach to company culture to work, PCI Members adhere to four basic guiding principles articulated by Bill Gore:

  • Fairness to each other and everyone with whom we come in contact
  • Freedom to encourage, help, and allow other associates to grow in knowledge, skill, and scope of responsibility
  • The ability to make one's own commitments and keep them
  • Consultation with other associates before undertaking actions that could impact the reputation of the company
